So many years ago neighbor´s adopted a child that sometime along the transition to adulthood turned into a veritable monster. I´d prefer to call him a pubertal tard, which isn´t a nice term but fits very well in this case. Stealing his mother´s car and undertaking nightly hops, bailing out via train, chain smoking, binge drinking, stealing the neighbor´s money, intimidating his mother to part her from her cash, there´s not much left this mongrel hasn´t tried already. So what do decent people do to make their wayward son see reason? They invoke the youth welfare office. And what does said office do? They send a huge bill and an employee, who is chainsmoker too. Now you can see both morons sitting in he wintergarden, happily inhaling one cigarette after another. The ungrateful parents dared to intervene, getting rebuked as a result. Hello? The parents are non-smokers! They certainly do not have to tolerate a smoking son and his overpaid "shining example" polluting their house. Ah, I forgot to mention pubertal tard turned 15 last week. Funny that adolescents are not allowed to smoke until they turn 18. Obviously youth welfare office is entitled to bypass law. Huzzah!
