(no subject)

Am I mistaken or have lots of livejournals vanished all of a sudden? I am a lurker mostly, mainly staying in touch with some of the old LotR-addicts, making a detour to other fandoms every once in a while. Revisiting the Raythoo community made me wonder how long it would take to erase the rest of its members, assuming that the membership decline continues at this rate. But about two new renegades per day makes  14 a week, not that great for a community this small. Other communities are affected, too, if not to this extent. Funniest thing: the extinction can be easily followed, beginning with the first letter in alphabet, steadily advancing. Livejournal seems to take the gloves off and close down sparsely used  accounts!
