Welcome to our crazy family! Seventh of July is Turkey Day at our house. Jona always wants turkey for birthday. This year we did not have any problems to get one at this point of the year, because my friend breeds them on her farm. So I put the poultry in the roasting tin and went to the pantry to refill my salt shaker, when a loud clanging told me that devil cats were once again on the hunt for raw meat. I took the broom and ran. Did I tell you I am good at broom-throwing? Devil cats dropped the turkey and fled out of the kitchen. This time I had been fast enough to save the birthday meal. A thorough washing, and the turkey looked as good as new. I want a kitchen with a door to lock out the cats! They stole the turkey once already, as well as numerous sausages and pieces of meat, but I can´t expel those fleabags from my cooking place!

Visited the neighbor to borrow a DVD, because bathing weather for weekend must have lost its way and ended up in the far north, where the sun is shining and temperatures are taking off to metoric heights...The only film I had not seen yet was "Les Miserables". Ouch and ow! We tried. Really! But after 15 minutes we had to turn off the DVD player and abandon the undertaking. That, my dear readers, had certainly been the most horrible film I had to watch in my life. Only that I did not watch it to the end but called a halt before it was too late. 15 minutes of painful perseverance, while the rest of the family did a runner. Does that make me a better person, being more tolerant, more forgiving and less judgmental? I fear not! I am glad that I did not waste my money when the film played in the cinemas!
