It´s been extremely hot...in the Eastern part of my country. Mark you, because of my home country´s size, or better, the lack of it, the Eastern part is not that far away from my hometown, but the climate differs very much. So, let´s say, one part of the country is still facing the heat wave, while the foothills of the alps and the alpine regions already suffer from thunderstorms and strong winds that herald the end of summer. Oh joy! The end of summer? Wasn´t the month of August supposed to be the one bringing high temperatures? Maybe so, but not when it´s almost mid-August. Middle of August marks the beginning of autumn, believe it or not. The nights are way colder already, let alone longer. If the weather turns at this point of time, autumn is fast approaching. I spent many summers in the South, from the beginning of summer break until school started. Of course, even there were signs of the change of seasons, but it was never that bad. Wish I could fend off the bad weather front and have a few more weeks of summer! And yes, I know I´m whiny again, but there are some things I absolutely dislike, and that does include cold. And let´s not talk about the spiders which invade our house to seek a nice place for the cold season. Do not think of the spiders, do not think of...ha, there´s another one! Got you! Out you go!

My daughter blasted her door frame -because of a beetle! It had crept on her hand while she was reading. She tried to sling it away, which did not work, then tried to squash it, which did work only partially, so she dashed out of her room, looking for help, violently ripping open the door. The frame crumpled in light of such a force. At least she did not ruin the door panel. You should have seen her-long pale hair moving snake-like, her grey-green eyes blazing with hell fire-she looked like a spawn of Sephiroth minus one sword. On some days I am pretty sure some lousy nurse must have swapped the babies!
