Hah, my friend has found a way to outsmart my coconut milk intolerance. Problem is: If you put 100 gram ginger into your coconut milk soup instead of 10 gram only, and chop the ginger instead of rasping it, soup will be kind of...super tasty with lots of ginger bits floating around. Super hot, you might say, like strong fresh brewed ginger tea, mixed up with meat and vegetables. But since ginger is also a remedy for gastric problems, the coconut milk soup stayed where she normally would not have lingered for long: in my stomach. Not that I´d eat that kind of soup a second time, but the ginger saved me from debasing myself by hanging over the toilet bowl for an uncertain amount of time. So we both politly ate the soup, poured us a cup of coffee at nine in the evening and smoked a cigar on her terrace without freezing to death. At midnight I returned home and opted for a glass of wine to get tired enough for sleep. On the way from the kitchen to the TV room caffeine kicked in. Needless to say I did not make it into bed before four in the morning. Hubby was not amused. Apparently he needs me for listening to his snoring.
