Mum sharing
Apr. 2nd, 2015 09:18 pmDue to Niklas (Who the heck does name those storms? We have a Niklas in our neighbourhood, and the moment that guy steps out of the house all hell is let loose, nomen est omen, I´d say) and the damage this storm had caused, like train councellations and closed freeways because of fallen trees, my sister and I decided to meet up near Munich today, to do the obligate mum sharing during holidays, two days late, but too great was the risk of getting blown away by the storm while driving during the last days. Since the weather forecast announced relatively calm weather till evening, I put mum and her suitcase in my car and met sis in a coffee shop, where we all spent quite a time having fun. Too much time, I´d say, because when I started my car to finally drive home there was another storm warning on the radio. It´ll be okay, I said to myself, no storm will last for three days, it can´t be that bad. Then came the wind, then rain, then hail, and soon after the snow, which made driving a bit tricky. And suddenly I stood on the brakes, to not crash into the sleigh shovel that went flying across the motorway. Someone will thoroughly miss it, should it continue snowing that heavily, but gosh darn it, that thing almost gave me a heart attack, crashing into it at a speed of 100km/h might have caused quite a damage!
