It won´t be long now...

Mum is still in hospital, on Tuesday she will be brought to her old flat in town, where she will get palliative home care...if she´ll last that long. She hasn´t eaten anything for three days now. She cannot eat anymore. The cancer has spread over her digestive system, hasn´t left out a single part. Mum refuses arteficial nutrition, and we are okay with her decision, it would only delay the inevitable, though it´s hard to let her go. The last of the family members are finally showing up, I hope son number four and his cousin will make it in time. That would be so the two of them, spending ten days monkeying about in Amsterdam while the rest of the family run their feet off to get everything done! So we´ll have to plan for a Catholic funeral now, despite the fact that our family is made up of Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Romanian Orthodoxes, Jehova´s Witnesses and one agnostic. Now how to get all of them into one church, at the same time...
