Brought number four to Graz for university. It's such a shame that we do visit Styria so infrequently. When I was young, we spent many a summer at one of those lovely lakes there, playing with the animals of the nearby farm, drowning frogs in the fountain...okay, that last one was my sister's fault. I did tell her that frogs were able to swim, but not for a whole day, yet she put some of those in the fountain trough in front of the house we lived in. Naturally the frogs drowned, because there was no way for them to get out. My parents were not amused, and my sister and I had to do extra work in the stable next day. I always got the same punishment as my sister, no matter if I was guilty or not. I was the older one by two years, I should have kept an eye on her, because she was nuts at times. As the older one I was not entitled to be nuts too, hence the punishment.

I took those pictures near and of the Erzberg, the only open-pit mine in Austria. My friend´s son occasionally does train there for the Dakar Rally. Maybe he´ll win the Erzberg Rodeo one day too.

On Sunday we will travel to the other side of the country, to deposit number five, and then it´s only hubby and me for some weeks. To pull through after having no one to cook for her daughter went to her favourite Asian Supermarket and bought ramen for 40 Euros. I told her that instant ramen weren´t exactly healthy, and to eat more than twice portions a week might be dangerous to heart and kidneys, but I am pretty sure she will ignore my advice. That girl has been born with chopsticks in her hand, but trying to cook one of my ramen recipes is out of question, because students do not have the time for cooking. Haha.

Tuxedo cat is still alive and relatively well. He´s all skin and bones, but eats two cans of cat food and an extra portion of kibbles every day. He even brings me mice every so often. Today I forgot to open his canned food the way he likes it, with the lid off, so he was not able to reach all of the goodies. You know what? That grumpy old cat bit into the lid and pushed at the can till the lid came off. Clever Kitty!
