None in the family did anything productive today. At seven in the morning storm made us bounce out of the bed and straight into the garden, to bring in the two pieces of furniture number two intends to store in our cellar for an indefinite time (as always), then back to bed it was. Hubby was the one who left the house to pick up daughter who had stayed at her friend´s flat during night. The three girls had met for the first time in weeks, all of them having let themselves getting tested on Saturday, all three Covid-free. They had a nice afternoon which turned into a nice evening, and when it was eight PM and high time to leave (we are told to be at home at this time) the girls decided to add a fun night to the nice time they had had and stayed overnight. It´s fine with me, they are old enough and even more cautious in terms of Covid than hubby and I are. Since the weather was as bad as it had been forecasted all I did was cook lunch, do another batch of pesto and watch two episodes of Fixer Upper. Then I went for a nap - and promptly slept for two hours. I aired the bedroom in hope that the rest of the pollen inside might take off. Sneezing was much better last night, even if we kept the window open, which you should not in case you have pollen allergies. No wonder, it had been raining heavily all night long, so no pollen in the air!
You might say that Covid and the lot of reading and surfing I did during the lockdowns killed my tablet PC. Well, not the tablet PC but its battery. I will have to buy a new one any time soon. It is no fun when you have to be on a leash when you want to be online, and there are days when I put the tablet PC away only at one in the morning, depends on what I am reading. I will have to download more free ebooks from Kindle. But is it just me, or has the number of free books dwindled drastically the longer covid is wreaking havoc?.
