Babysitting

I won´t be online often this week. Number one phoned and asked me if hubby and I would babysit his offspring. I will do the cooking in his house, a thing I hate. Oscar is in after school care and has to get picked up at 4 PM, Xaver will stay at home, so that we won´t have to drive to Salzburg and bring him home from toddler group. Son and daughter-in-law will be back from work in the late afternoon. Those things always happen at the worst time. Both hubby and I will have to do Covid tests when we leave town, and every other day at that. That´s what you get when too many people are too careless regarding precautionary measures against the plague.
On Thursday I will have to pick up a medical certificate of my asthma at my family doctor, because on Friday I will get my first Covid vaccination. Finally! It will be Moderna, they do not use Vaxzevria on persons with asthma. As a pensioner I will have to pay for the certificate myself, which is 50 Euros down the drain. Employed and unemployed persons get the certificate for free...
We are preparing for another storm going through. Hubby has begun to paint the frames of the windows of the conservatory today. He "forgot" to do so when the front of the house got renovated and kept me from making the slats to firewood just in time. With strong winds predicted hubby is stacking the painted slats in the carport while I am in my studio for another round of crocheting. The pattern is very simple, yet I often succeed in working in faults. I really should count more carefully!
