Tell me where the heat has gone to...

The big hailstorm did miss us fortunately, yet it has been a nerve wrecking last night we spent listening to the downpours outside. At one point husband dearest got up and had a look if the water had made it through the part of the roof in need of repair. It hadn´t, but roofer will not be able to do the reparation work before early autumn, so rain will get many more chances to get a peek at our anteroom furniture. Well, it cannot be helped. Too many cases of damage that got neglected during the first period of Covid last year, when craftsmen weren´t allowed to do their job even though they worked in the open air and solo at that.
Today was Cassian day from eight till five, when his mum finally picked her offspring up. It was an eat along play along day where I was not able to do more than a few chores. Oh my, that little man is always hungry! Blessedly hubby and I are off to Kufstein tomorrow, to pick our daughter and a big part of her belongings up and bring them back home. I think this might turn out fun, especially the big crossing over Germany´s border, to get to the other side of our country. I wonder if we will ever be back to the good old times, when travelling was not a run between a myriad of (often illogical) covid regulations. Anyway, hubby already booked a table in aunt Lil´s favourite restaurant. Not even a visit to a reataurant is easy these days! Someone (not me!) loves our three Gs and the FFP2 masks very much! Seems that we will have to cope with these abominations forever and a day, because Covid has come to stay, that´s a fact.
Today has been a warm day with only 23 degrees, overcast with no sun at all. Yet we were in the pool once, to try out Cassian´s new floating device. Young man got very loud when he had to leave the water, even though his teeth were already chattering. Usually my grand children howl in rage when they are to get into the pool water. I do not know which of the two is worse...
