Elsa and family left two days early. Understandable, because DiL is upset about her situation, but Cassian threw a tantrum when he did no more find his beloved cousin. At least they left the doll house for him to play with. They will come for another visit at the end of August, until then I will hopefully be able to retrieve another one that will stay at our house, so that Elsa and Cassian can play 'family' again. It was so much fun to see them doing this game! Funny thing is how different Elsa behaves when she is with her cousin: she is nice and helpful and not at all capricious. She is nice when she is with her mum or with her dad. The word ´or´ is the key- when Elsa is with both her parents she´s a capricious princess with airs and graces, which sometimes drives me up the wall.
I really enjoyed yesterday´s evening on the terrace- warm temperatures, red wine, olives, young parmesan, what more could one want? Well, maybe better weather, and not another thunderstorm like the one that busted our get-together too early! And maybe tomatos from our own plants, but to have such again will take some time, warmer weather and less rain, and, of course, grandparents who run quicker than their grandchildren! For now we hope that the rest of our vegetables won´t drown, because it is cool outside once again and raining quite hard at the moment, and waether will stay this way at least until Monday. Then we will be back to our usual 22 degrees. I so love it!
