7:30 in the morning
Aug. 4th, 2021 06:27 pmAt that time hubby and I get up since son has started work in a medical firm not far from our house. No point to stay in bed longer, because in five minutes all hell will break loose, when this one finally will get up and terrorise all residents. Start of work is eight o´clock. To bed son went at two in the morning, so even five minutes longer in bed do count. Hubby makes toast with honey and pours son a glass of milk which he will gulp down while he ties his still dripping hair. Yes, some people can douche, eat breakfast and dress in the span of 15 minutes. I can not. Son rans up and down the stairs at least thrice in search of things he needs for work then jumps into hubby´s car, and off he is- five minutes before he has to be at his working place. Today it was worse. One minute after son had left daughter appeared in the kitchen. "Mum, you have to drive me to town, I have additional duty today, because two of my colleagues have been tested positive. Roll call is at nine thirty!" Does not seem so bad but is. To get into town daughter usually takes the bus. To get to the Festspielhaus in time she would have had to take the bus which left in 30 minutes. Daughter needed to breakfast, douche, dress and make herself up, and believe me, double the time son needs for a complete morning overhaul, and she might be able to tick number one and two, but she´d still not be dressed and styled. Hubby poured more milk and coffee while daughter took a shower. I breakfasted, dressed and twiddled my thumbs when a howl came from above- mum, did you iron the blouses I put to the washing machine? Yes, I did, but only by chance, because how am I supposed to know that she had put them there! Hubby had put them into the washing mashine, brought them to the studio where I ironed them when wet. "Thanks, mum! There´s more of my uniform drying in the guestroom! Maybe if you find the time..." There´s one chore I hate with passion, and that´s ironing. But I fear that from now on I will have to do it regularely until holiday work is over and she is off to Finland!

Remnants of the old flowerbeds...

Sedum does not flower yet but would fit nicely into the colour scheme.

Viburnum and white hibiscus are in full flower now...
