Missed it, oh no!
Aug. 3rd, 2021 05:03 pmI did a peek in the garden a few minutes ago, and there they were, and nobody had seen them coming. Or better, heard them coming, because there are some mini acorn trees between our property and the neighbour´s one, so you won´t see that much but hear more than you want. Neighbour´s son and family is back, though they were supposed to be back at the end of the week, and there has not been any cursing and swearing about the swimming pool being put to another place in the huge garden they have. The children´s mum is loud as ever, scolding her progeny non-stop, but their dad is mostly absent. I found out that this one had an accident during vacation and had been in hospital for some days. His head is heavily bandaged, and I feel with him, though I am a bit disappointed about the fight that did not take place. What fun it would have been to see father and son be at each other´s throat once again and mother and daughter-in-law yelling at each other! This always happens when they are fighting, much to the amusement of the neighbours. The old man is a despot at its finest, and I really do not know why his son lets himself getting dissed this way, especially since it´s the son who is the house´s owner, and that this one is working at our armed forces. I only hope he cuts a better figure at work!
Yesterday was the first and probably only day of the week without thunderstorm. Right now we have rain and lightning and thunder. It had been sunny and warm when I went to the bedroom to do some reading after a late lunch, I promptly fell asleep for half an hour and when I woke we were back to the good old rhythm of raindrops drumming and thunder clapping. Even hubby had erred, in anticipation of at least one or two hours pool time he had hurried to the shop to buy salt to feed the pool-water. When he came back rain had set in already. That´s enough to drive many of us up the wall- we barely make it over 20 degrees despite the fact that we should have the warmest period of the year just now!
