(no subject)

It's been the usual ´Oscar don't do this Xaver don't do that´ day, with ´If the both of you don't behave we will pack our things and go back home´ in between. Yes, please, I frequently was about to answer but kept my mouth shut. It's family, and the boys weren't that bad. Their parents only think that they should behave better than at home, where they behave like typical boys do. Better be loud and a bit rude than have their parents being loud and rude. Hubby brought four whole grilled chicken, and most of it got eaten. Cassian, who seldom gets meat at home, was beside himself with joy at having a whole chicken thigh for himself. He got another one afterwards and ate it, too. Once again I managed to smear the wrong suncream all over my face. Instant stinging in my eyes, but this time I washed it off with soap and water then did a run for my eyedrops. All is well again, vampire eyes are gone. Tomorrow will hopefully be a day for recovery from today's family meeting. It will be only number two and Cassian, a fairly quiet affair. We only hope that the oncoming thundery front will stay off as long as possible...
Waterplay is the hit among the young ones. When I bought it I went to the only bigger toy shop we have here. Consulting was a bit awkward if you consider that we usually speak German here and the consulting seller did not. But at the checkout I had a really hard time to hold back a comment, when the cashier tried to smile at me, one front tooth missing, one eye swollen shut, abrasions in the face and a breath that would knock a child over, so strong was the smell of alcohol in his respiratory air. Definitely not yet ready for work this one...
