Bad, bad bee
Aug. 13th, 2021 07:36 pmCassian got stung by a bee today. He was playing with the brand new waterplay I had bought the day before, when the bee decided it was thirsty and needed a drink (we had 30 degrees this afternoon, omg!!!). Maybe the bee had seen her colleagues drown in the pool water (happens often enough, though I try to rescue as many as possible) and wanted a drink from the shallow water of the waterplay, to be on the safe side. Cassian must habe been in the bee's way, even though hubby was watching him like a hawk (little one had tried to eat the grapes not yet ripe). Bee must have been in the waterway to freshen itself, so bad luck for both Cassian and the insect. This ended with a lot of howling, though in the evening all was well again. There´ll be more howling tomorrow, when number one brings his family for bathing, and Xaver will not be allowed into the water- again. His knee is not okay yet, and he will have to watch is younger cousin frolicking in the pool. Would have been nice if his parents had given up on bathing fun, because I cannot fathom that listening to a protesting child for hours will be relaxing for any of us. By the way, there has not been a single warm or hot day this year that has been without a visit from one of our progeny. I can hear hubby chearing at this. Me- not so much. I think I am in need of a wellness vacation, preferably for a month or maybe longer, with no one knowing the location...
