new and working versus new but rundown
Aug. 20th, 2021 06:26 pmYesterday I cockily declared it was not the batteries that were at fault. I had replaced the ones of the keyboard the moment I noticed the glitch. The batteries of the mouse I did not touch. Well, hello, I had put new ones in about a month ago! Maybe I should have tested them, because now that I have replaced them my PC works perfectly fine. Not funny when the durability has been four weeks only. This time I had bought pricy ones at that, and all for nothing! So we will be back to Lidl batteries, cheap and working...
Daughter will leave in eleven days. She has not yet given me her winter sweaters and sweatshirts for washing. She has not been in the cellar to search for her winter boots. No jeans, no socks, all she has done is sleep away the morning then get up for work and be back at midnight. Hubby is on high alert. He has been in search of kitchen utensils all week long. We have now a big box full with things she will not be able to take with her. Or only one third of it, because in her flat is next to no cookware. But still, no winter outfit, even though she got an email yesterday that temperatures in September will range between four and 15 degrees but will drop down to minus 10 or more during November and December. Not good if you don´t arrive there with appropriate clothes!
DiL is on maternity leave since Wednesday, so Cassian days have come to an end. Or not. You never know with her. Since number two has been ordered to save his annual leave for the time the second son is born, there´s always the chance that DiL might be too tired or stressed to take care of her oldest. Husband mine is always ready to step in for her. Me, too, but my enthusiasm has been subdued by having to cope with five children of my own...
