Tired from shopping
Sep. 7th, 2021 07:29 pmMy friend and I did a very long shopping tour today. First we went to Germany, where I got me a pair of half-boots for winter season, in my favourite colour even! Then I hauled five heavy sacks with kitty litter into the trunk of my car, one of them leaking its content all over the carpet inside (I did not notice hubby had left the box cutter with the wrong side up). Afterwards we did a tour to a local shop where they already sell Christmas decorations which are child-proof- mine are mostly made of glass, which always makes the young ones sad when they are not allowed to touch, and since we do not know if or when our politicians will impose another lockdown upon us we thought better buy early than not at all. I am a grandma who has no objections when a Santa gets attacked by a Schleich crocodile before he wanders back to the place where he is supposed to outlive Christmas time, that´s why I bought both. Besides, Cassian needs to learn that our crocodiles do not bite or eat little boys like him. Since he fell off the inflatable one straight into the pool he is deadly afraid of the reptiles. Thank you, hubby, for not keeping Cassian on top of our green monster! Friend and I came home late, had one last coffee on the terrace (we had more on the way) and exactly at that time our local farmer started the pump of the slurry pit- for the fourth day in a row. I hope he is now finished with his fertilize-the-fields project, because the whole area stinks- and how! We cannot even leave the laundry outside for drying! Imagine you put fresh linen on the beds and all you smell is cow-byre! Anyway, friend went home, and I went upstairs to do an important research in the WWW. Because just when I thought that there´d be plenty of time to get the embroidery finished before Advent, daughter-in-law number three suggested that ´maybe´ I´d love to knit a jacket with a jelly bag cap for Elsa, in pink, if possible! I have pink wool, what I do not have is a knitting instruction...
