Snowplough parade

Cassian loves cars. Cassian loves snow. What a coincidence that he got both today. Hubby had picked up our grandson early in the morning, together with his neat snowpusher he wanted to put to good use on our terrace. But first thing when Cassian came into the house was down to the cellar, straight to the room where grandpa stores the old toys of the youngster's uncles. Three tiny matchbox snowploughs he had seen the last time he was down there was what he needed, and with them Cassian was occupied until it was time for his nap. Of course, now and then grandpa had to bring in fresh snow, and grandma had to wipe up the wet tiles. Snowploughing on the couch table is fun indeed. Streets were sleek with ice and snow, and on the way bringing the youngster back home we found no snowploughs but two trucks halfway down the roadside ditch. Come on, we live in an area where snow in winter is a regular occurance, not in Vienna, where 2 centimetres of the white pest cause a chaos of epic proportions! Yet once again we won't have a white Christmas this year, because from Monday on there will be rain, as always at Christmas time. We call it Weihnachtstauwetter (Christmas thaw). Happens almost every year, so if you want snow for Christmas you will have to drive up the mountains!
Saturday will be the last day of lockdown for shops and cultural events. Gastronomy and hotels will be closed for another week. Currently they are discussing who and how many people will be allowed into our homes for Christmas visits. Sho.. it! My house, my rules! I am done with Punch-and-Judy show!

Those got named Elladan, Elrohir and Arwen by daughter mine. She says that film Arwen had a horse face. Well, we do not have a horse but an elk, which has a long face, too.
