Early post

The visit to our neighbour has been fun. Especially when the clock showed eight, and hubby was cringing on his chair- it was about time for him to drive home and watch the daily crime on TV! Yes, we did indeed drive to the neighboured street, because the pavement had been so icy that we might have lost our footing, which is never good when being old and brittle in the bones. Naturally I did not want to do what hubby wanted, and maybe sit on our couch and twiddle my thumbs while being bored to death for the rest of the evening. Neighbour thought the same and opened a bottle of beer for husband dearest, this way keeping him occupied. We came back at half past nine, at least husband mine was able to see the resolving of the crime case (though I am pretty sure he must have seen almost all crime movies twice already and knows the murderer quite well). I went to bed soon after, had only one sneezing attack during night but managed to sleep in a very awkward position, and my shoulder hurt like hell when I got up in the morning. A cheer for a hot shower and a hefty dose of Voltadol, now I am as good as new!
I did potato fritters for lunch. Fritters took some time- I like them crisp and browned, but salmon and cream cheese dip are easy to serve. Now I will start the car and meet with a friend beyond the border. We haven´t seen each other for more than a year now thanks to neverending restrictions. Well, the restrictions were not neverending, but we always missed the periods where travelling was allowed, so totally our fault, I´d say. It´s the 24 hours time frame we will make use of today, in which you won´t have to register when entering Germany. Gastronomy will be closed from 10 PM on because of Covid, so I might be back home before midnight. But it´s all right that from now on 10000 people are allowed to watch soccer games in Bavaria... There are always lobbies who do nicely for themselves!
