Off again

Son number four is off again, and I will be off, too, for a birthday coffee at my friend. January is insane, so many birthdays! I skipped the two parties of our neighbours, but this one I won´t miss. The lady is very cautious about Covid, way more than the other two are, and there will be only me, hubby and two more guests I meet regularly. I only hope that my constant sneezing won´t upset the others. I think I had the same one year ago, but then the last winter had been even warmer than this one, and the willows had been in full bloom at the end of the month! Maybe tomorrow, when the storm will hopefully have died down, I will do a trip to the river and examine the situation! I did not buy any flowers for this special birthday lady, and I hope she will not be upset about it. The last birthday flowers I forgot in my car, where they died a lonely death caused by cold. This time I will replace flowers by chocolate and follow my rules once again- flowers in summer, chocolate in winter, which is infallible.
We are heading towards another stormy night. I have to keep in mind that I better move our bed a few centimetres away from the outer wall in th evening. It´s definitely no fun when those strong blasts of air that make contact with the roof of the house rattle your bed, too! Feels creepy, this I can tell you!
