Up to new letters
Jan. 31st, 2022 07:40 pmWeather was quite bad today, though we did not get the snow we were warned about but rain mostly. So I did a quick cleansing of my studio then began to crochet three more letters. I am now up to F plus a smiley and a heart. I have begun to plot a star, hopefully I will be victorious to "bobble" one. Or more even, if the blanket will turn out too small, which I fear it will. And while I am plotting new stars hubby is plotting how to spoil number three´s family with food for the upcoming weekend. If he continues this way I might be tempted to spend the weekend in a hotel far off our house. Cooking the things hubby wants me to is no fun when you have six adults or probably more to feed!
Seems that I have successfully killed two of my olive trees. Because the room in the conservatory feels so small when there´s a Christmas tree in it I had put them on a shelf- and promptly forgot to water them properly. Big fluttering of leaves has already started... Too bad, I quite liked those little trees! Maybe, if I won´t overdo it with watering now, they will sprout anew! It´s a tricky process, and I managed to be victorious only twice. This way you now know that I do not have a green thumb. The moment the door to the conservatory is closed (which happens after the Christmas tree is out) I forget about my plants, until it´s warm enough to sit out there. That´s why I possess succulents mostly, but succulents seem to love me! Apropos Christmas tree: ours had to go a week ago, and hubby promptly cut it to firewood, which was way to wet to put it in the fireplace. So he kept it in a cardboard box next to the terrace door, and after three days of waiting he dragged it into the house to dehumidify it more quickly. Too bad that there are lots of cats outside who put their scent marks on literally everything. So Namo cat decided to do the same- straight in front of hubby´s eyes. Never before have I heard my husband roar that loud, and Namo cat skedaddle that fast. Almost a miracle, if you consider that for almost a year he was like a zombie cat- not quite dead but not alive either.
