...unless hubby will hit on the idea of inviting family number one over for lunch on Sunday. I fear he is already contemplating this possibility, yet I will hear of it only on Saturday, as usual. Family number two will be in Vienna from tomorrow on till next week. I wish them luck with those irrational Covid rules they have there. PCR tests valid only 48 hours- even if they do one at home they won´t be able to make much use of gastronomy, because it takes 24 hours at least until you get the result of your test, sometimes even longer. Austria celebrates Covid, though all other countries long have ended most sanctions. Maybe they intend to prolong the sanctions over the summer, to create new, even more severe but ineffective measures in autumn, to prevent what they cannot prevent. Looks like our country is the centre of idiocy and hysteria in Europe...
Hubby and I did a bit of gardening in the morning, planting the herbs we bought into balcony troughs, doing a new pod with spring flowers for the gravesite- hubby did most of the planting, I the sneezing, though I managed to trim that darn juniper I hate so much. We now have a very tiny juniper tree in a pot, and if I am lucky it will die during summer, because Hubby has put the pot along the garden wall, a place with next to no sun and rain. Serves that mini tree well, it has stabbed me often enough!
Just before lunch hubby arrived with a surprise in tow- he has bought six puzzles at 2000 pieces from an estate. Five minutes later this...
Then there´s our idiot neighbour, the one who runs around in his garden at 4:30 in the morning, banging his shovel against objects for the only reason to wake those who are still asleep. Today he was out in the afternoon, wearing no shirt (gruesome to look at) but a huge sun shield made of tin foil. I almost wet my pants, because I had to laugh so hard when seeing him like this!
