Cooking spree

I had to get up at two in the morning for a tour de loo and found that someone had forgotten to close the door to the bathroom, where Vaire cat has to spend her nights, until family number three will be off again. While adults are usually able to ignore the sounds of cat lamentation little princesses might join the nightly concert. So I chased my cat back into the bathroom and went back to sleep. At four in the morning I woke again, this time because I felt cold, very cold. Window was still open, and outside it was minus three degrees. Back up again to close the window, but not back to sleep. At eight I got up and joined the rest of the family for breakfast. At least I did not need my saved recipes anymore, I then knew them by heart. Daughter was a fabulous helper and chased hubby out of the kitchen more than once- he tends to show up offering suggestions for improvements to recipes he never has heard of, that´s apparently the way of men!
At two in the afternoon the family was complete and gathered for lunch. We had Greek Eastersoup with chicken instead of lamb, spinach rolls with salmon, Cheesy cookies (alas, no rabbits), Easter ham with asparagus, glaced carrots, mushy peas and potatos with herbs, and chocolate covered strawberries with whipped cream for dessert. The carrot cake with cream cheese we had done yesterday already. You know what? Not a tiny bit is left of lunch and cake. One more person, and number one to three would have had to cut back on eating so much! Now family one and two are back home again, and I have had my fill of toddlers for today. I will take a nice hot shower and knit a bit. Or lie on the couch in the studio and watch TV. Or go to bed early...
