May. 20th, 2022 03:27 pmThis will only happen in a small town like my hometown- a chamois in Mirabellgarten, in broad daylight. I took the photo from our local newspaper, though a lot of people saw the chamois at first hand. 1948 the first chamois appeared on Kapuzinerberg, a small hill amidst town. He must have come from the nearby Untersberg (almost 2000 metres high) and found the new area quite compelling. At the moment about 14 of these animals live on that hill, wandering the town´s streets every so often.
During night we had two thunderstorms- very loud, but not that much rain. That´s good, because today is pool day. Kiddie pool and sun shades will have to be put away again in the afternoon, because there´s a warning of severe thunderstorms turning up in the evening. Cassian has put up his water track set with hubby, and the two are happily playing along, so finally an opportunity for me to skive off for some time. Soon Cassian´s parents will arrive. You see, bathing season has been officially opened!
