Better not try again

 I got up at three in the morning, to drive daughter to her job. Hubby was slightly indisposed- not only, that our soccer team lost (again), but the game started so late because of a power outage that the match ended around midnight. Driving during night and heavy rain is no fun, that I can tell you! At home sleepwould not come easily, so I turned on Youtube. Unfortunately I forgot to install ad-blocker my sons recommended, and no the best one is no more available. Advertisement on Youtube has become unnerving, we now get it twice as often than in the past, and there´s more, if you take a closer look at- those advertising spots were five seconds in the beginning, now we are at six, and the first second lasts way longer than a second. And you have to click it off yourself most of the time, or it will run in a continuous loop. Needless to say, I did not sleep that much during night. I got up even earlier than usual, in dire need of at least two cups of coffee, to get through the day. It was raining cats and dogs all day long, and daughter gave up her intention of walking the way back to her flat, so that she´d memorise the streets she´ll use once she has her bike brought to town. I picked her up at the airport at lunchtime, and now she is napping. I have also been napping, but only for a short while. The new freezer is here, and we had to bring it down to the cellar. My back does not approve of me dragging heavy things, even if hubby did most of the work. I am not napping but resting now- and hoping, that my spine will calm down after a while. No getting up so early, and even more no hauling around freezers any time soon!

Summer is taking a break for this week. It will stay cool and rainy until weekend. While I do not need 30 and more degrees at the start of summer, I deem 12 degrees to cool for the season. Besides, we had to pump water off the pool again!
Our plans for summer vacation have gone out of the window- a house with a lot of plants and a cat inside and a vegetable garden outside needs thorough tending, which cannot be done by number three and four (live quite far away and both working), number five working also and not able to do the trip back and forth by bus twice a day (maybe husband should not have been so insistent for her to try for a flat of her own), and number one and three on holiday at the same time, just when hubby and I would have gone to Croatio for two weeks. Now guess who will stay at home and take care of two properties, pets included, while the owners are off to recuperate... Come autumn, we surely will have to stay in country again, doing the corona hysterics a third time, you can bet your life on it. The whole nightmare scenario we had the last two years might repeat itself. Already our politicians think about bringing back the dreaded and completely useless masks- not in autumn, but now!
