Um...
Apparently my beloved blouse I talked about yesterday wasn´t as beloved as I had thought. It simply can´t be found, even though I´ve turned my wardrobe upside down. Must have treaded the path all clothing do at one point- the one that leads directly into the charity bin. If I cannot not find a replacement for the buttons, the jumper will stay the way it is now- pretty, but not complete, a downgraded version of the original. It´s always hard to do such things without tutorial, but I made it, except for the contrasting centre of the flowers.
Hubby left this morning later as expected, because it´s a concert with operatic arias- apparently opera singers don´t function before twelve o´clock. Half an hour after he had left, son number one snowed in. How do my children get wind of me being at home alone? And why on earth do they think I need company? Questions upon questions...
It has been a pleasant day otherwise, not too hot, but warm enough for having swims in the pool. But guess what´s happening just now? Yes, another thunderstorm is coming in. Might be a severe one- gadflies and bot flies are attacking like mad. I managed to chase the bot flies away, I killed one gadfly- but only after it had bitten me. Eeek, those pests can bite! Blood was running down my shin, after I killed it. And my balm for insect bites went to third DiL. She got a slight sunburn when taking a bath and needed yoghurt. Since I was not ready to sacrifice my (mango) yoghurt I handed the ointment over to her- it never found the way back. Tomorrow it´s supposed to be cool (I like it hot). Means that I will make use of the bad weather and do the cleaning I skipped today.
