Siri and Alexa
People can re-name their daughters now without problems, if other children mock them because of their names or try to make them do things Alexa would be ordered to do. I know four Alexas aged between 12 and 23, and one Siri. None has complained as of yet, and I hope it will stay this way. I really like these names! But it reminds me of a kindergarten episode with daughter dearest, when I got called in, because she had bitten a boy. Turned out that the lad had called her a dog and ordered her around like a dog, because neighbour´s dachshund bore the name of my daughter. So she did, what dogs can do best- she bit him. No consequences for daughter, but the lad got reprimanded to no more harass her. Phew!
Today I woke to loud talking and a car in front of our house. Turned out that we have a new newspaper deliver lady. She arrives around 1:45 and is very fond of loudly talking to some friend on her mobile, when putting the daily into the newspaper box. Good thing is that I will be able to read the daily now, when sleep eludes me, which is around two in the morning.
Since both hubby and I will be off tomorrow, Cassian spent this beautiful summerly day with us. Way from hot, but warm enough to take a bath in the pool. Alas, you can already hear thunder... The next two days will be indoor days with thunderstorms and plenty of rain. And knitting, of course! Turned out that Cassian's jumper might need a few additional rows. Sleeves and width are perfect, but the boy has such a long torso :( Ironing first, and if it's still too short, I will have to improvise. But I think I already have an idea how to proceed!
