Nov. 16th, 2022 07:18 pmFlavius got brought at 7:30. Hubby was up early, to let DiL into the house, but I was up even earlier, woken by lady Vaire´s loud miaowing at 6:30. I fed her then cleared the living room from things a one year old should not play with or worse, eat. Grandson got delivered with a bowl of porridge, which he ate with gusto, until he found out that milk rolls with jam tasted even better. Unfortunately the boy also found out that he is now tall enough to press the buttons on the children´s kitchen and made good use of this new knowledge. A lot of bleeping was to be heard until he decided that he was tired and fell asleep on the couch. Grandchild got picked up at midday, and I quickly left the house to buy potatoes. Hubby wanted potatoe soup, which is best eaten on cold and rainy days. We have a cold and rainy day today, the highest temperature was five degrees. Tomorrow it should be a tad warmer, but first snow might show up on Thursday and Friday. Or not at all, that´s what I hope. It´s time to bring in the lemon trees and the ponytail palm. Too cold outside for them now! Even daughter feels winter looming ahead and will come on Friday, to pick up her winter clothes and her boots- and her beloved Schwarzwälder ham plus her favourite banana milk! At the moment she is going to college by train three times a week, leaving early in the morning and coming back home late. Good that she lives near the train station!
Yesterday I successfully managed to avoid crafting with my friend, but today I turned the heater in the conservatory on and glued a lot of stars together. Hubby gave me another assortment of wooden slices he had cut from a tree branch, so tomorrow I will use up the rest of the clothespins. No more crafting with my friend, it´s too time consuming. I will cede the glueing of the straw stars to her. She will love it, there´s so much glitter on them!
Husband mine has found a new hobby- he has installed thermometers in each and every room in the house. Every half an hour he starts another round tour to check the temperatures. Feels as if I get trailed twice an hour...
If I am lucky , there will be one dwarf finished at Christmas time. At least that darn thing has two arms now. Tomorrow I will have to decide if I will do a redskinned, yellowskinned or a brownskinned dwarf. I had no time to drive to the shop for a fitting embroidery cotton today. Now it´s too late...
