No-cooking day
Nov. 17th, 2022 06:03 pm Yay, finally! There was enough leftover from yesterday's potato soup that hubby was not able to complain about lack of lunch! After a quick shower- darn, why is it so cold in the house- I did a quick cleaning of kitchen and living room (as always) then decided to work hard on the wooden stars, though it's even more freezing cold in the conservatory. The radiator does not work properly, and temperatures have dropped drastically since last night. Radiator did the same stunt last winter, when hubby had to take it down and work on the inlet valve. It cannot be helped, husband dearest, you will have to do the same again! But why did I work so hard on the stars, you might ask! It's because of my friend. When we were shopping, we had used her car. She took the last bag out of the trunk. It was her who assured me that all my things were out of the car. Turned out that my beloved winter parka got accidentally locked away in said trunk. No clue how one would be able to ignore half a tent, but she will bring it tomorrow, and she´s dead sure that we will continue with crafting. Ahem- even hubby was protesting, when he heard of her plans. My plan is now 1) finish the glueing of the last clothespins then glue as many stars as possible onto the wooden discs, afterwards hide the pins I cannot glue in time. 2) Oil the wooden stars that aren't painted white tomorrow morning. 3) Wait for my friend to arrive, serve her some coffee then give her straw stars and glue to finish off the wooden stars. 4) Wait for my friend´s departure then go to the studio to do more stitching. The dwarf has a face now, which is good. Another good thing is that Cassian will be with us this weekend. Cassian loves to watch me doing needlework, while he plays with the dollhouse. Contrary to other children he is one who will spur you on, so there´s a chance that maybe both dwarves will be ready at Christmas Day...
