Feeling silly today
Mar. 2nd, 2023 06:51 pm I am in love with my weather app. It's pretty useless concerning weather, but so much fun to look at. That's the picture I got today, and believe me, first thing I felt when seeing it was appetite for fried egg with asparagus.

So glad that I won't have to explain to grandson number three that never ever a sunflower will come out of a fried egg. Cassian's always the one who loves to read weather forecast with me. Well, I read, and he listens. Even youngsters want to know about what will happen the following days- playing inside or trips to the playground makes a great difference to a child! Today I got told that there might be rain- or not. There are times I am so glad that we do not have any plans of importance for outdoor activities aside from the ones in the garden, which unfortunately always involve a lot of work. No trips or wandering (no, thanks) and the like. With a weather forecast like this one you better be equipped for all eventualities that might or might not be in store for you!
Hubby played guest-cook again. Sweet potato rösti was roasting along, so I did a quick crossword puzzle while watching sports on TV. When I came back into the kitchen there was our salt grinder and the habanero sauce next to the pan. Hubby needs everything spiced up these days- but I do not! And I need definitely less salt than he does. I told him that less salt was important when having gout. This he does not want to hear. Well, he can add more salt to his plate, but only if he keeps his gout-induced tantrums at bay! You learn from your mistakes- hubby must not yet have heard of this saying, he is always hell-bent on getting his own way!
Though the last days have been rather cold dead-bird season is in full swing already. We have stickers on our windows, but those feathered idiots are chasing after each other so fiercely that nothing, absolutely nothing can keep them from crashing against the windows of the conservatory. If they are lucky, they will survive. Mostly they are not, and even if they are, there are lots of cats lying in wait. Today Hermine cat went off with a blackbird, but I can´t hold vigil all day long! No wonder that the population of birds is dwindling!
I bought another wool for repair work on daughter´s sweater. It does not meet the colour exactly, nor does the one I bought first. The old one is better with darker light, the new one when it´s bright. Should I call daughter, to ask her at which time of day she intends to wear the sweater? I think a trip to a specialised shop is in order- if I find one which is not too far away!
