Not a day for bathing

 

 

Water showed 22- on the surface. I wasn't in the pool long enough to mix it all up. Too cold for me! I do have a sensitive bladder now that I am getting old! Besides, there's not much left of the wondrous hot and dry weather- I turned my alarm back from 2:30 to three in the morning, because weather forecast says that we will have rain again during night. At least temperatures will stay high! So no Perseids for me this night. Next try Monday early morning. Getting up half an hour earlier won't be so bad, even though hubby and I are far from well-rested- two garden parties had been going on in our neighbourhood last night, one of the two very loud. But let them have fun, this summer has been too cold and wet for parties until now!
Daughter arrived in the afternoon and got fed pizza. She has early shift the next two days. Family number two will also show up for lunch and bathing tomorrow- Cassian has invited himself and the rest of his family, too, because he is a nice boy. Finally he can have a look at the new Schleich animals and unpack the last Playmobil. Elsa forgot to do so, and Xaver only plays with dolls and the like. Cassian has been nagging his poor mother about the toys all the time:)) Served her well- how dare she take him along without letting him see the new playthings! I am sure we will have lunch tomorrow- spaghetti Bolognese and spaghetti con scampi plus apple tart snd vanilla ice. I also know who will have to do all the cooking :(( Not so sure about frolicking in the pool. The boys would love it, even if the water is cold. Depends on the strong winds we are to get in the afternoon! Then there's the problem with the tiny flies, which show up around four in the afternoon- since rain has stopped, they do a regualar mass suicide in the pool water. We will have to fish the corpses out, before we can go in. This is how the scoop looked like five times, when poor hubby did this job yesterday...
