Perfect morning
Sep. 21st, 2023 07:11 pm My ex-colleague and I had a perfect breakfast, which lasted from 9:30 to twelve. Smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, bacon and ham, cheese aplenty together with fresh fruits and yogurt- my friend made a sandwich with leftovers for her husband, so she did not have to cook lunch for him. Poor guy is isolated in the bedroom- came back with Covid from a trip to Switzerland a few days ago! A sore throat is all he has, but my ex-colleague has banned him, because she is not vacccinated. I did not bring a sandwich to hubby, because he was doing Weißwürstl and Brezn for Cassian and Flavius- the boys love it! At twelve we had a look at our watch and raced back home- grandchildren duty for the both of us! Hubby arrived with Cassian and his brother five minutes after I had entered the house. Phew, lucky me! All that gossiping in combination with prosecco had made me tired, so I went to the bedroom with Cassian to have a nap. So good that I turned my mobile to silent, because otherwise our sleep would have been a short one- four people trying to get to me either by call and or Whatsapp messages! And if you´d know my sister you would be aware that it´s more than one message she fires off! The boys stayed until five, mostly in the house (we had 29 degrees, but there must be a lack of short trousers at their home all of a sudden) or doing a bit of biking with hubby. Tomorrow it´s Cassian only, the calmer one of the two. Today he spent half an hour with me in the conservatory, asking for stories about the motifs on the jigsaw, learning the signs of the Zodiac and getting to know why the Southern hemisphere has different constellations. We will bring the step ladder up from the cellar, so that he can take a look out of the bathroom window during a sleep-over night, if the weather is fine. Won´t be this way tomorrow, we are supposed to get rain and thunderstorms and a lot of cold for the next days. But hubby has already made clear that we are to have Cassian for sleep-overs more regularly, because, you know already, mummy cannot put two boys to bed at the same time in the same room...
