It´s all about timing
Oct. 11th, 2023 06:35 pm I had a good start into the day- woke up just in time when hubby was ready with preparing breakfast. Had a shower, did a bit of housework, and when hubby decided he´d do a trip to number two to continue with the garden wall, I dressed and left for shopping beyond the border. That´s what you call good timing. First problem: They did not have the garden magazines I buy once a month. They were supposed to be in the shelves but weren´t. Will have to buy them at our side of the border, where I have to pay 1,50 more. Each. Bad timing then! I got some nice wool for the throw, but not the colour I wanted first. Then I remembered that the cream pillows we bought a long time ago look rather off on our couch, and switched to grey. Grey will do better, I think! I didn´t buy lunch at the Thai restaurant but decided that hubby was in for eating the remaining buns from yesterday. We had cheese and ham aplenty in the fridge to do some sort of sandwiches. Only that hubby managed to burn the buns- another bad timing, because he spent too much time in front of his PC looking for a tablet PC I do not need, because mine has decided to resume work. So we switched to the new buns I had brought from the bakery for tomorrow´s breakfast. But anything hubby can do I can do better- I wanted to do Szechuan chilli oil but ended up with burning the base. Had to start anew- too bad, I killed a lot of spices, and the house reeks a bit of charred onions combined with anise and cinnamon. We will have to do another good airing tomorrow, to get that smell out of the house. Happens when you are in the conservatory with hubby to continue with the jigsaw. After the chilli disaster I went up to the studio and continued with the last jumper- and promptly managed to seam it up the wrong way. I only noticed my error when I did the collar, but I refused to unravel. Those little ones have to get dreesed by their parents, and I think they will be able to button the little ones up, even if said buttons are on the wrong side. At least I hope so. Plan for tomorrow: sew the buttons onto the shoulders as well as on the whales and octopuses. Darn in all threads. Put the jumpers into the washing machine. Iron them then hang them out for drying. Do not let hubby do the washing- he loves to forget the fabric softener or replace it by vinegar. I found a bottle that should have softener in it but smelled like salad dressing. It´s down the drain now but who knows? Found a lot of vinegar today in the storage area. Hubby must have a soft spot for it- in the salad as well as in the washer...
