Good thing is that I finished the Celtic throw, will only have to darn in and wash it. I did not do tassels. Tassels are a plaything not only for cats but toddlers, too! Bad thing: I already started throw number two, even though my left wrist hurts and there´s work aplenty to do: baking cakes, baking cookies, doing quince jam- yes, I finally recovered the quinces hubby had bought a week ago! They were hiding in the vegetable drawer under the package of mirepoix I needed for today´s lunch. Quinces seem fine, hubby bought gelling sugar- jam will be done tomorrow, jars are in the dishwasher already. Hubby did a tour to the roofer, because he didn´t hear a peep until today- the worker who´s been at our house to examine the damage did not report, so he says. So we are back to the start: estimate of costs first, then the new window will be ordered. That might well drag on into the next year...
Hubby bought ten kilo pork for making bacon. I peeled and chopped two bulbs of garlic. On Friday I had been Mrs. Onion, today I compete for Mrs. Garlic. Gah...
Still no red plastic baubles- I have been to three nearby shops- not a single bauble made of this material. Last hope: Kik, Action- not my favourite shops, but good for finding things others won´t sell. If they don´t have any, too, the world has gone mad- I definitely won´t put glass baubles onto the trees in the garden!
