Demotivated

 I woke my husband with a teacherly cry of outrage, because one of my dream students did challenge my patience. Unfortunately I woke myself, too, and spent quite a while staring into the vast darkness of the bedroom- hubby keeps veiling the dormer windows as of late. You never know the moment the next full moon might light up the studio. In this he is right- full moons are a pest, when the weather is fine. Feels like a bright lantern outside, a wandering one. From dormer to balcony to bedroom window- there´s one window any way for the moon, to light up what needs darkness. At some time I fell asleep again and woke late. Cancelled breakfast and drove to KIK. I got the last two big baubles (golden ones only) and two boxes of small red ones. Shopgirl told me that people were shopping for plastic baubles like mad this year- no wonder, when most of the shops don´t sell them anymore! Alas, I was not motivated enough to hang the red baubles onto the rose arch- weather forecast has turned from ´a bit of rain, but warm´ to ´cold with snow´. Nope, I still do not like snow. Hopefully I will be able to bring hubby to do that work for me tomorrow. Never before have I been so slow with Christmas decorating. And if I do decorate, unfortunate events are stopping me- like when I wanted to polish the last small latern from the inside, and when I opened the door out came a spider. Gross! But I have done twelve glasses of quince jam with winterly spices today and managed to burn my mouth again. Always happens in twos!
I have been racking my brain about a birthday present for hubby- then he told me that he´d do the wood work in number one´s cellar- new panels and the like. And since hubby´s chopsaw fell apart, when he did the bases for the cone trees I want(ed) to make for Christmas decoration, I told him to order a new one from Amazon as his present- problem solved! Now I only have to bring up a menue plan, since family number one and two plus only daughter will come by, too. There´s also cake to make- Malakoff tort, no baking needed! Huzzah!
