Second last day...
Dec. 30th, 2023 01:36 pm ...started with me and hubby driving to sister's flat after breakfast to turn the dish washer on- and take the laundry out of the washing machine and hang it up. Sometimes my sister has the memory of a dayfly. Happens, when she is in a hurry. Niece to our local trainstation, nephew to Munich for a train to Hamburg. Seeing the water of the Chiemsee sister finally remembered...
Last grocery shopping of the year got done in Germany- way cheaper beyond the border! This time hubby accompanied me- huzzah! My favourite occupation- me and my short, chubby legs running after a very tall Soletti man!
After lunch resting was called for, so I had thought- alas, Oscar did phoning experiments with his new mobile and kept me awake for almost an hour. And just when I started my nap, number two announced the coming of three quarters of his family. The remaining quarter (DiL 2) needs peace and space for the big cleaning of the things Raffaele had been puking onto. Gah! We fed the boys the dinner hubby had picked up at the restaurant ( which should have been our! dinner), and at six thirty they finally left. This house is a madhouse!
At least tomorrow might turn out better than expected. Those folks who have tried to invite themselves over I gave a clear brush-off. Strange that people can be so persistent, already knowing that hubby and I have had full house for eight days in a row! There's salmon in the fridge and tarama, we have olives and stuffed peppers and flatbread. If I feel like, I will traipse round the neighbourhood. If not, I will finally have my longed for beauty rest. Let's see what happens!
