Family again

 Niece phoned at twelve and told me they'd be a bit late. Turned out that they weren't late at all but drove directly to our house instead of going to their flat first. We had coffee and cake -Romanian cement choc cake and the fruitcakes I had made in advance ( thank you for the recipes, curiouswombat and wiseheart) then I did the Indian dish, using Christmas turkey meat we had in the freezer. It was fun to meet up again, even though nephew was a bit sick. Now they have left, and all is quiet again. Daughter decided to have another sleepover at our house, there's still salmon aplenty for a nice breakfast.
Tomorrow will be the last big cleaning day for this year. There's laundry aplenty to do, and two bathrooms which need more scrubbing. How come that small children can make such a mess when brushing their teeth? Toothpaste is all over the tiles. And the mirror. And I don't even want to know why it's in front of the toilet...
