I am wondering...
Jan. 21st, 2024 05:26 pm ...how they are able to do it- hubby and daughter need one afternoon to decorate the Christmas tree. They have never needed more time. And decorating is definitely more complicated than undecorating. I started the epic work this morning just before lunch. I worked for almost an hour then gave up, because I was dressed for cold temperatures- but for the first day in two weeks it was too hot in the conservatory- too much sun from the outside! I watered the plants instead and came to know that one of the palm trees hidden on the upper shelf had died. Sorry, little tree, but apparently hubby did not hear me begging him to do me the favour of climbing onto the ladder to do this job- by now he should know that ladder climbing is not on my list of favourites! After lunch, which had tasted good but lacked vegetables, because those which had been on the shelf two days ago must have been eliminated by hubby, who has such bouts of throwaway now and then, usually without asking me if I´d need the items in the near future, I did a bit more of undecorating. Yet maybe one fourth of the tree is done, the rest might or might not get undecorated tomorrow. It´s not that I am in a hurry, daughter will show up at the end of next week only, to decide upon what will be the next jigsaw we´ll do, and to accompany us to Oscar´s birthday party. Our oldest grandson does not even want a birthday present but insists that he and hubby finally do the promised trip to Munich to the Deutsches Museum. I will give him a gift card, so that he can buy himself things he likes. He will be ten by then, old enough to decide for himself!
Turns out that crocheting the new blanket may literally be a "big" affair, but definitely noz a complicated one after having established the first row of the pattern. But it will take time, a lot of...
