Need to get me a wand...
Feb. 23rd, 2024 06:01 pm ...to get rid of the housework. It's really hard to cope with dust and dirt and dirtied clothes all the time. And cooking, of course. Especially on a dark, cold and dreary day like today. After so many spring days in February we got strong winds during night, and at the moment it is snowing. Fear not, tomorrow we will turn to warmer weather and maybe sunshine even, which will lift my spirit. Both hubby and I need new glasses. Hubby ordered his today. I was so down this morning that I decided to do this another day. Haven't slept well- it's definitely no fun, when each new gust of wind is so hard that you can feel it in your bed. I do not know, when hubby moved the bed until it touched the wall, but first thing this morning was put a distance between it and our bedframe. I trudged through my daily routine, had too much coffee, did read a bit and hid the throw. No crocheting for the next days, or I will scratch my eyes out. Allergic eye drops can only do so much as help you to keep the allergy at bay! No additional fibres sailing through the air wanted! When hubby returned, we had lunch then a long rest. Nice that I can rest on the bed while watching the snow fall! It's so very romantic (or, in my case, not). Hubby was not sure, if he really wanted to do a trip to Germany at such bad weather, to listen to a concert of his former colleagues, but decided to go anyway. Lucky me again, otherwise I would have to watch TV instead of Potter 3. There's one thing I did not understand: Potter 1 and 2 were okay to listen to, the first scenes of Potter 3 in English were hard to follow. And then I noticed, that I had forgotten to turn the theatre mode on. Silly me! Hubby has prepared everything for me to have a nice evening- the wood stove is packed with wood, I have popcorn sweet and salty, a bottle of wine and soft tissues, if need be. Maybe I have been sneezing too often today. Must have been the five minutes I spent in front of the house, barefooted, because I did not find my garden slippers, fixing plastic eggs to tree and ladder...
