Back to routine
Apr. 2nd, 2024 07:21 pm This morning it was clearly audible that Easter holidays have come to an end. A lot of pupils here take the bus to their school in the next town. Mine have done so, too. There´s two reasons for this: they all were to attend the one primary school where our neighbour was headmaster then, and none of us liked this lady. So I sent them to the school, where new teachers get trained. And when they entered grammar school, I did not want them to be in the school where my best man did teach. No need that he came by to tell me about their evildoings, and believe me, there had been lots of those! On school days the bus stop is filled with a horde of shouting children. On the first day after a holiday, the noise is twice as loud. And the noise starts at seven in the morning- it takes half an hour to the next school centre and even longer to others. And school here starts between 7:45 and 8:00 in the morning. Needless to say that we were up at seven, because the bus stop is near our house!
Hubby has resumed his job as caretaker for my sister´s flat. Today he had to let the electricians in, so that they were able to inspect their future working place. He had to take my car for this, because battery is deader than dead. Back home we started his car with the help of a jumper cable, and off hubby was to buy a new battery plus let it get installed. Meanwhile daughter took off with what was left of yesterday´s lunch, hence I had to cook even though I did not want to. She even took the old potato wedges with her- said she´d eat them gratinated with cheese and onions and garnishing with mayo and sriracha. Ugh! I feel a stomachache coming in!
I had an afternoon nap today, but only after I finally managed to get my Kindle library run again. It was an act I hated- having to sign in and sign in again, because after the hacking Amazon demands that I confirm my logging ins with a combination of numbers sent to my email account. I have 60 seconds to log in- I always pray that our internet connection will prove stable, which it does not often enough!
Hubby did have his daily bike ride, albeit a short one, because all of a sudden (to him, not to our weater forecast) it had started to rain again. He got wet, but this served him well: he is the one who studies the dailies each morning,so that he knows if or if not he should get the bike out of the garage- not an easy endeavour with all the bike locks, which are to hold thieves off!
