...was what I felt yesterday evening, after I had put Cassian to bed- turned out that the boy opted for another sleepover- and went down to watch TV with hubby. Normally our grandson is quite easy to handle when it comes to sleeping. Put on the jammies, brush the teeth, have a short video clip then off to bed it is. Yesterday I thought I´d heard footsteps above at one point, then nothing. Hubby had turned on the daily crime story, I was sipping my evening lemonade while watching detectives hunting murderers, all the while listening and sensing for grandmother duties wanted. Something was not quite right, I felt it. I also have to admit that I was too lazy to get up. Then there came a gasp from behind my arm chair- grandson had crept down and decided to watch a bit TV from his viewing point behind my seat. Not exactly a film he was supposed to see, hence his raction. I had forgotten to turn my mobile to mute, and Cassian´s intention had been to warn me that someone had tried to get hold of me, but clearly watching TV had been more interesting, until things on the screen got too wild. I brought Cassian upstairs again, turned the mobile to mute and read my Whatsapp messages. Turned out that it had been son number three who had called, to announce a possible visit at the 30th of May-for three days only. Too bad that hubby cannot invite family number two over for another family reunion, because they will be in Tunisia at that time. Hard luck, but there´s still family number one he can try to lure into our house...
I did some planting today- finally the spring bulbs are put in flower tubs. Bad thing is that the flowerbed at the back of the house is a mess. Tomorrow there´s some weeding to be done, but only if weather will be fine. Yuck, I hate weeding, makes my back hurt even more!
Hubby insisted on Mohnnudeln for lunch, so I made him and Cassian some, while I ate the rest of yesterday´s pizza- I am not made for sweet things!
Cassian went swimming with hubby and came back to our house afterwards, because his mum had some errands to do. In the late afternoon he finally got returned to his father, who was busy with cooking and taking care of his younger son. Son will be delighted to explain how the Titanic met her end, because my husband bought Cassian a new book. Seems that he (hubby) loves catastrophes of all sorts...
