Armchair killed hubby´s back...
May. 17th, 2024 06:55 pm ...so to the doctor it was for him this morning. And all that because I ordered him to bring in the things he had carelessly deposited on the terrace, and weather forecast told of heavy rain, which did not arrive, until he had brought the things back out. The man must be bored to death. Everyone could see that the rain was only rolling in late... So I vacuumed and scrubbed the floor in daughter´s room, tomorrow I will give her carpet another thorough beating and another dose of insect spray then it´s going up to her room again. Next stop- clean the chair´s cushions by vacuuming and put the seat together again. At first, daughter wanted to get rid of the chair. Now with the wardrobes so empty that all things have found a new place to live in she wants to keep it. Mama to the rescue- it´s always me who has to work with cleaning agents and agressive sprays- maybe because I am coughing so nicely afterwards thanks to my asthma! Then again, that´s what my sprays are for...
At the moment we have a kill-those-things-in-the-house-which-are-e xpiring way of cooking. Today it was grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with mixed salad. Salad and bread needed immdiate consummation, but I can say that this won´t help much, when foodstuff comes showing up faster than one can eat. At te moment we have four!!! boxes of tuna spread in the fridge. I love tuna, but hubby must have found a special bargain he was not able to resist buying. I fear that my future breakfast will consist of toast with tuna...
BTW: Cassian must have had a field day with investigating at his last sleepover. Today his mum called and asked me if I would lend him my wand- but the Snape wand is mine, and mine only! How the boy came to find it is a mystery to me, because it is stored in a box under my workdesk, behind a pack of copy paper, carefully hidden from nosy grandchildren. It´s going into a wall holder one day with its brethren. I so love those wands, if only I´d be able to handle them the way they get handled in movies!
