Hubby is all of a tizzy- cassian and Flavius will get back this evening! He drove to Aldi this morning, to restock number two´s fridge. He did Schnitzel with risi e bisi for them for the evening. For once he kept some of it for tomorrow´s lunch. I am delighted- no cooking. It´s not that I do not like to cook, but my back is killing me once again, and standing next to the pot or frying pan for a while is not what I want at the moment. I am on a painkiller diet while doing gentle exercises to keep myself going.
In the morning I unpacked the awesome laser I bought myself for Christmas and tried it out for the first time. Maybe I should have read the whole instruction booklet. I only made it to the point where I got told how to activate the laser and put on the sun glasses then did start with killing facial hair roots. Next time I will shave before lasering- the smell of burnt hair is gruesome...
Oscar has a percussion performance in the evening. I wanted to go there, too, but since I can barely sit without pain I will have to skip. Well, hubby will be there anyway! I hope that he won´t forget to turn his mobile to mute during Oscar´s performance, because at that time the other grandsons will arrive at their house- and boy, those two love to do phone calls!
Outside in the garden we were able to enjoy a few hours without rain. The lawn is in dire need of mowing, which will unfortunately not happen the next days- earth is so wet that the mower got stuck when hubby tried to cut the abundance of grass. The blackflies have wandered off to formerly unoccupied twigs, so I did more cutting branches off. The moment weaather gets better I will start project dish soap, to shoo them off! But I must wait until weather is at its better side- no need to kill the grass under the apple tree by death through detergent. Besides stepping into the mud is no fun anyway. Alas, rain will only stop from Thursday on, and for two days only, as it seems...
