Are we back to April?
Jun. 28th, 2024 05:21 pm Thunderstorm-rain-strong winds-sun-heat-back to number one-repeat- and all this in the space of less than two hours! Even hubby saw it futile to open the pool- at first. Only in the late afternoon weather got more stable, but then I was comfortable with sitting on the terrace and do a bit of crocheting, and nothing else! Husband mine thought otherwise. He had been at number two´s house, starting the built of another garden wall DiL needs, because she wants an area to put new outdoor furniture on. She is avoiding the grass- tick alert! Which unfortunately also means that she won´t mow the lawn, which makes the life of ticks even more pleasurable and her husband´s miserable, because now it is him to do this job. Since he is off to work all week long and only has time at the weekends, the grass always is fairly high, and the ticks rejoice. Then again, Cassian and Flavius must not play in the garden, and the cats get shooed into the bathroom over night and shooed out in the morning, in case ticks are frolicking amidst their fur and endanger the life of the family. At the moment Romanian list of psychosis reads as follows: number one ticks, then moths, then mold. Positions may change according to season. Back from son hubby opened the cover of the pool and had a long swim, while I was sitting on the terrace, recalling the good old days, when our pool was open all night long, and I was able to take a swim at midnight, when I felt like doing one. Hubby did, too, but gave up when I told him that a midnight swim had to be done in utmost silence- which is not pretending to be a walrus entering the ocean, and that´s what hubby always does. Not that he has the build of one, only the noise he makes is quite realistic. Nowadays the pool gets closed at seven straight, because it´s time for the daily news and crime time TV. And, of course, you can´t leave it open, because frogs and moths and whatever else is around would drown. Not that those buggers won´t make it into the water anyway...
