Misery loves company
May. 12th, 2025 07:10 pm Last night I added hefty bouts of sneezing to my cough. Got up late, joined hubby at breakfast, daughter came down from her room- now guess what happened to her during night? She is sneezing and coughing, too. Not that much yet, but there´s always room for improvement! The two of us watched hubby work on the terrace- more noise, more dust, and slow progress. When he was off to buy a new, broader chisel we did sort puzzle pieces, but not for long. Switched to doing crossword puzzles- less blinding sun, lower temperatures. Daughter did not stay for lunch, she has a date with colleagues from the airport team, two ladies she will do the trip to South Corea with. The three have a lot of planning to do! So hubby brought up two jars with cod-filled peppers for lunch, together with fresh, crispy baguette. Husband mine loves crispy bread, I do not, because one day my front teeth might fall out because of too much crispy! The moment daughter had left I was up to the bedroom, to rest for a while. The while lasted for almost two hours, which I slept away. Hubby attacked more ot the tile cement. I took a cleaning cloth and wiped the dining table again. Not that I hadn´t wiped it after breakfast, after coffee break, after lunch and in between, but the dust has found ways to creep into the house the moment someone tilts a window. Then I did what I was supposed to do for a while now- clean the kitchen fronts, clean the shelves, sort out food which had exceeded the best-before date. Did the same with the fridge and found the asparagus tips hubby had bought for Mother´s Day lunch but got replaced by corn and broccoli. Will cook them tomorrow with chicken fillet. DiL called to tell me that she needed the sushi on Sunday instead of Saturday. Not funny, because the concert I got tickets for at Christmas will be in the afternoon, but daughter will come and help, so we will manage. Hubby has to bring sushi over to son and Cassian, while Lil and I will be off to Festspielhaus. No need for the two of us to pick up more germs- there will be six kindergarten friends of Cassian to celebrate with the birthday child! We will give our presents to the boy when back from GB, before the family leaves for Tunisia...
