Tidied up

Hubby was up early at seven in the morning. Probably could not sleep because of all the ruckus in the gardens around. So when I came down for breakfast he was already out, tidying the carport. Weather forecast rambled about huge thunderstorms and dangerous winds. Inflatable toys and pool noodles are in a net under the roof of the carport. Working tools are in the garage. No more wood, no broken tiles- all is perfect. Perfect in hubby's way of thinking. It's okay for me, place enough for my old car, I only must avoid opening the door on the passenger side, or I'll kill off hubby's tomatoes. I took a quick shower- yay, we had one tropic night with 20 degrees, so the bedroom was warm and I sweated more than usual- then was off to Lidl. Cassian is extremely taken with leaflets, especially those of Hofer and Lidl, and noticed that the second sold HP bed clothes. Of course, Flavius also wanted the one with the house crests. Took me the whole morning and trips to three Lidl shops to get the right ones! Back home I helped hubby with installing wire cables for the curtains on the terrace, which clash horribly with the grey of the other items. No wonder, when the grey curtains turned out a silvery monstrosity with abstract white slashing...
I did a quick ramen- quick, because I had frozen the soup base. The rest was not so quick- boil noodles, eggs, mushroom, spinach, fry the meat. No fun, when the temperatures were up to wonderfully 33, but all I was able to do was cook and watch the turquoise water of the pool beckoning me...
When eating outside I noticed that temperatures had dropped, so I skipped the after-lunch nap and rested in the pool instead. Not exactly refreshing, the water tempperature was up to 29 degrees, but better than sitting and watching the dark clouds cover the sky. The first thunderstorm was a meagre one- a bit of rain, some lightning, next to no winds. Hubby was off to number one, to bring Xaver his birthday present. I stayed at home, because DiL does not tolerate people with a cold, like I have. I am so devastated- ha, bloody ha! Poured a cocktail for me, pulled a book from the shelves and watched the thunderstorm from under the shelter of the glass roof. And since it did not rain much this time I even stayed completely dry! Huzzah! Alas, the next thunderstorm came soon after, with more rain and more wind and hubby storming into the house. My gu⁸ess was that DiL was not happy about his visit. If she had her way the only people allowed in their house would be she, her husband and their sons. And maybe colleagues from hospital. Twice a year maybe. Of course, son is simply ignoring her wishes. And the boys even more so. Today Oscar had invited two friends from school. The boys even brought Happy Meals from McDonalds. Oscar had told them that mummy does not like to cook. Hilarious!
