What a night!
Feb. 7th, 2026 05:46 pm Yesterday evening the boys watched an advertising clip about a restaurant on YT, a very funny one at that. This ended with Cassian getting hungry again and sharing the snack (Schnitzelbrot) his dad had given him for school with his brother. Of course, they got a glass of water with it. From three to five in the morning the two took turns using the loo. Plus there wss some strange light effect to be seen through the blinds. At five I got up and went downstairs to continue with sleeping, hopefully undisturbed from little feet trampling along our bedroom to the loo, to return to the studio some minutes later. No such luck- first I found thst the strange light came from the string of lights in the apple tree, which had turned into a rabid disco lighting and put an eery glow to the room. Besides, it was freezing cold in the living room, because hubby had turned the heating off during night, and I had not brought propper bedding with me. Oh well, I could have used the guestroom, but at five in the morning my poor, old brain was not yet ready to start work...
Hubby sulked all day long, because he was not able to invite family two for lunch. The older he gets the more resentful he is. When their dad picked the boys up it became apparent that their mum was still asleep at three in the afternoon, and inviting them over for lunch would have been a nuisance. So we had Frittatensuppe and cheese toast for lunch, and the boys loved it. Hubby not so much, but this I had expected. The moment family two was off husband left for grocery shopping like an overgrown, sulkyteenager pensioner. I cleaned the kitchen then went up to the studio, made the boys' bed. finally found the socks Cassian had 'lost' some weeks ago deep under the guestbed then took my knitting project in hand. The boys love it already, I hope I can finish it soon!
