Nothing new
Mar. 10th, 2026 06:38 pm Hubby was off early- he had a date with his hairdresser. At his hairdresser, that´s better! Even though the former might be possible, too- hairdresser is queer and one of the most wanted bachelors for the male population in our town. For that reason alone hubby won´t qualify- definitely too old :))
Hubby and I did a lot of pruning today, because our dwarf maples decided that being dwarves was no fun. I cut the thinner branches, hubby sawed off the thick ones. Now we need the trailer, which is still in hibernation. Tomorrow, when son number two plus wife will collect their offspring- hubby will pick the boys up at after school care, while the parents will have to attend parent conference day- the men will activate the trailer. Should have done so two weeks ago. I hope there won´t be rain, the boys wanted to drag the branches onto the loading space!
Today´s lunch was the horror of all horrors- hubby insisted on two of those ominous jars containing stuffed peppers. He bought quite a lot of them once, because the jars are perfect for jam. I hate both, jam and stuffed peppers. And even more since those peppers are stuffed with shrimps. I cooked rice with peas as side dish and put a lot of parmesan on the rice. So much that I was not able to taste the stale shrimps and the soggy peppers. Hubby got red-carded. From now on he has to order such jars at Amazon or buy them at Action- without content, of course!
Since being outside ended in a sneezing fit of epic proportions, the afternoon got spent inside with the windows closed. A bit of housework, a bit of jigsawing, more resting- hey, it is quite exhausting to sneeze so hard! Hopefully rain (if it comes, does not look like at the moment) will wash out most of the pollen! I am so done with sneezing and runny eyes! Technically I am not even allowed to drive my car, since one extremely dumb fellow citizen claimed that his allergy had been the reason why he caused an accident. Now assurances will back out if one smashes the car because of sneezing!
I have been steadfastly eliminating plants for quite some time now- frozen ones, which I forgot to take in before it got cold, bug infested ones. Gave plants away to number three. Then I saw a documentation about animals eating bromeliads, because those tasted sweet like pineapples. I told hubby that I did not believe in the sweet taste- he was off to a garden centre the next day and brought me two bromeliads in different colours. Hubby dearest, that has been a joke! Humans are not supposed to eat bromeliads! And so much about clearing space in the conservatory...
