At least, I did not fall asleep

 ...and that's why: We had a fly, a big, bad, black fly (next to smaller, not so bad ones) in the house. The beast went with me to the upper bathroom, when I brushed my teeth. It did not make it into the bedroom, where I spent the time until one in the morning, which was when I went back down to the TV nook, to watch the Oscars. From then on I did a fly hunting safari till four in the morning, because the moment my eyelids dropped the beast landed on my face, the only place not huddled up in the warmest blanket I found in the guestroom. It was hubby, who finally managed to bring down the troublemaker, when the beast attacked him during breakfast. Alas, hubby left the terrace door open, when he was outside in the cold, and even flies prefer a warm athmosphere- more flies were on the way.
To honour the cinematic masterpieces I saw during the Awards ceremony I ordered two of the award winning movies on Amazon. The third will be available at the end of April only. But I am a patient woman. Mostly...
Hubby went to town to have a look at the construction plans for our street. Gone will be the private road we live in. We might or might not be able to keep the reversing bay next to our house, otherwise we will have to drive backwards to get to the main street. Meanwhile I had a long shower to get rid of the sleepy feeling. I definitely had enough sleeping hours, but my body told otherwise! No cooking got done today, I was not in the mood. So Berner sausages it was for lunch, and afterwards some jigsawing instead of napping. Only that after half an hour of sitting at the table in the conservatory I had found next to no pieces and finally gave up. Went upstairs to the bedroom, turned my tablet PC on to do a bit of reading and fell asleep almost immediately. When I came back down for coffee hubby had successfully replaced me at jigsawing. Seriously- help is nice if required, but I did not require help, because jigsawing was the one thing hubby detested and left me alone to do it- until now. Besides, I really, really love to be left alone for a while now and then- I am a big girl and don´t need supervising!
Needless to say that I did not make it to the shops today. Daughter sent me a shopping list, number four, too, I have pictures of Samsung and Sony on my phone to get the right wool for the long cat pillows they want. But the trip will have to wait until tomorrow. Besides, I had to go through the content of three cupboards to finally come upon the protective fleece for plants I need for the poor lemon trees on the terrace- temperatures are supposed to go down below zero, and those trees are extremely sensitive to cold...
